At the Village Preschool, we use the Creative Curriculum as our philosophy on how child learn and grow. The Creative Curriculum is also used as our framework for setting up our classrooms for the optimal learning experience for your child. Everything from how the daily schedule is set up, to what learning materials are provided, have an impact on a child's development. We strive to reach the whole child; their physical, social, emotional and cognitive development.

Each month we use supplemental observation tools to rate how we are doing in our classrooms. Everything from interactions, to health and safety, learning activities to room arrangement are observed to see where we need to improve. The Early Childhood Environment Rating Scale, The Infant/Toddler Environment Rating Scale, The School Age Environment Rating Scale, are the tools we use to measure the high quality practices of our programs.
Our program helps children develop and grow as individuals at their own pace. During the day your child will be encouraged to exhibit self-help skills in many ways such as; family style dining, being responsible for the toys and materials they play with, and taking part in the community of the classroom by being a helper.

A large focus at our centers is on health and safety. Our teachers are certified in CPR & First aid. We also stress hand washing throughout the day to keep our staff, children, and families healthy.

Our classrooms are set up in learning centers. These centers are looked at as the classroom textbook. Teachers also provide age-appropriate learning activities throughout the day to stimulate the children's thinking skills.

Reading, Listening, Math, Science, Writing, Sensory, Dramatic Play, Music, Art, Blocks, and manipulatives are some of the learning areas that are provided for in each classroom

We understand that each age-group has different needs. Our infants and toddlers have their needs met by providing them with an appropriate environment, materials and activities that will keep them safe, as well as provide fun learning activities.
The Primary Mission of The Village is to positively impact the quality of life for children who spend their time in our program. Children need a creative, active, stimulating, and nurturing environment. We strive to provide superior childcare for children while at the same time giving parents an affordable program. Our hope is that every child who attends our program will be touched in a positive way
